I've been thinking now for a while what I should do on my essay about type. I am thinking about producing a piece which answers the question, 'What is beauty in Typography.'
This came about not only from the Swiss hegemony but also from a love of calligraphy forms, and also to get an understanding why designers hate some typefaces like 'comic sans'. Is it just people trying to jump on the band wagon or is it that some type is 'ugly' and what does beauty actually mean
